# Bridge Assets to Polygon zkEVM

## Platform #1: Polygon’s Official Bridge

There are 2 Official ways that you can use Polygon’s official bridge to the zkEVM

#### 1. Polygon zkEVM Bridge: <https://bridge.zkevm-rpc.com/>&#x20;

Here is a simple step-by-step guide to getting started:

* Visit the [Polygon zkEVM Bridge](https://bridge.zkevm-rpc.com/) and connect your wallet.
* Select the token you want to bridge from Ethereum mainnet to Polygon zkEVM.
* Input the amount of tokens you want to bridge.

* Review your transaction and click 'Continue' to finalise the transfer.

#### 2. Polygon zkEVM Wallet Bridge: <https://wallet.polygon.technology/zkEVM/bridge>

For moving assets across chains (L1 ↔ zkEVM), you will need to use the zkEVM Bridge. The bridge interface is available for both **Mainnet Beta** and **Testnet** in the [Polygon Wallet Suite](https://wallet.polygon.technology/zkEVM/bridge). Also, bridging can be done with the help of [matic.js](https://wiki.polygon.technology/docs/develop/ethereum-polygon/matic-js/zkevm/initialize-zkevm/) and [Bridge API](https://bridge-api.public.zkevm-test.net/)

The main problem with this bridge is that it only allows you to transfer funds from the Ethereum Mainnet to the zkEVM.

You may have to pay gas fees which can amount up to $17 USD

## Platform #2: Multichain

Similar to [zkSync Era](https://thefipharmacist.com/zksync-era-bridge-guide/), [Multichain](https://app.multichain.org/#/router) also allows you to bridge funds to Polygon’s zkEVM.

This transaction will cost around 0.0006 ETH (\~ $1 USD), and the best part is that you can bridge your funds from other networks like Arbitrum, Optimism or Polygon, where the gas fees are much cheaper than Ethereum.

However, Multichain already has a token, and the platform that I ultimately used to bridge my funds does not, so you could qualify for an airdrop too!

### Platform Of Choice: Orbiter Finance

[Orbiter Finance](https://www.orbiter.finance/) is a great way to bridge your funds from other Ethereum L2s to Polygon’s zkEVM.

What’s more, Orbiter Finance does not have a token yet. If they do launch one, they could reward users with a token for using this bridge, so that’s why I chose to use this platform instead.

The fees are slightly higher than Multichain at around 0.001 ETH (\~ $2 USD).

However, if you’re frequently bridging funds between Layer 2s, Orbiter Finance may be the best option with the potential airdrop looming.

The transaction was really quick and I was able to receive my funds on the Polygon zkEVM within a few minutes.
